Rex England
A lifelong interest in woodwork and music led to Rex's first instrument in 1972. Following a period of self-teaching, he became a full time professional maker in 1983.
Rex has made 200 violas, 112 violins and two cellos since then. These are played by professionals, advanced students and gifted amateurs in orchestras and string quartets in the UK, Europe and America.
A particular interest is in making violas of various sizes so that they are compatible with the different physiques of players.
