Nigel Crinson

After studying at the Newark School of Violin Making, Nigel worked in a busy Bristol violin shop for three years before setting up with his partner Susanne Göhlmann in Stroud, Glos.

While based in Stroud, he concentrated on involved restorations, working for dealers in the London violin trade.

Nigel has been making now for sixteen years and has worked with people including Bharat Khandekar and Roger Hansell.

Now based in his home town of Hartlepool, he combines his skills as a professional maker and restorer to great effect, both in new making and old master copies. His instruments have inspired clarity, in tone and colour.
