Roy Collins
Maker of: Bows
Location: England Roy learnt bow-making with Arthur Bultitude, and has been working as an independent bow maker since 1978. He has gained a reputation for fine quality bows based on the old French Masters and the English Makers Dodd and Betts.

Location: England Nigel is one of the leading luthiers in the UK today.
He studied at the Newark School of Violin Making and has been
making for sixteen years. His instruments have inspired clarity, in tone and colour.

Location: Wales Russell made his first instrument in 1973 under the guidance of Maurice Bouette, who later became the principal of the Newark School of Violin Making.
A number of his cellos are played by professional cellists.

Location: England Rex is a self-taught maker with a particular interest in making violas of different sizes to suit the physique of the player. He has been making professionally since 1983 and his instruments are played by professionals, advanced students and gifted amateurs.

Location: France Yves Antoine is a gifted young maker who studied at the Mirecourt School in France. He makes beautiful and original violins and violas that have great flair and a strong style.

Location: Italy Manuel initially trained in violin making at La Scuola Di Liuteria in Gubbio, Italy. After graduation, he studied for a further three years at the Newark School. His inspiration comes from the Italian makers of the 18th century.

Location: USA Sally received a Bachelor of Arts in music from Carleton College and subsequently attended the Newark School of Violin Making between 2002 and 2005. Her focus as a maker is on sound quality.

Petko has learned from the best Bulgarian and Italian experts and makes violins, violas and cellos. His instruments have excellent acoustic qualities. The polishing is oil or spirit varnish, with all ingredients imported from Italy and England.
