THE LATEST CARBON FIBRE BOWS

We’ve just added a rather nice new carbon fibre bow to our stocklist - the M3 created by the Arcus company, which has been producing high quality carbon fibre bows for a number of years now.

This latest M-series has its origins in the company’s Veloce and Allegro models. By improving the composition of the stick, Arcus has enhanced both the sound quality and ease of play. The M3 will (and I quote...) “produce a warm and full sound, ideal for orchestral players who want a sound that blends well in a group”.

Students and musicians who play for fun may well also find something they like in these very attractively-priced bows which feature nickel silver mountings on a Snakewood frog, a round stick and weigh less than their wooden / pernambuco alternatives. FURTHER NEWS...

The Andrea (formerly Tartini) range of rosin is now available again for violin and viola at £23.50 and cello at £25.00.

The rosin is made from a select blend of high quality (secret!) ingredients so it can be used sparingly, with 3 or 4 swipes of the bow being sufficient. For more details, click on the rosin picture above right.
