Evans-Pughe Strings was established in 1997 in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, UK, to meet the needs of string players of all ages and abilities. We have three floors of violins, violas and cellos, specialising in instruments by contemporary British and European makers. Strings has close links to the Benslow Music Trust's national Instrument Loan Scheme, whose violins, violas and cellos we maintain in our highly respected restoration and repair workshop. We open three days a week: Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays (9.30am to 5.30pm).
