In our workshop, you'll find the same tools, techniques and materials that have been employed in instrument making and repair for the last three centuries. For a glossary of terms click here.

Work undertaken ranges from instrument set-up to general maintenance and bow-rehairing to complete instrument restoration. Most is handled in-house but where appropriate outworkers are employed who are experts in their field. These include luthiers with many years of experience in the top London workshops.

Our workshop plays a key role in the maintenance programme of the Benslow Instrument Loan Scheme (ILS) which entrusts the care of its instruments to us.
